Polypropylene Chemical Storage Tanks
PolyPropylene
Bailiff polypropylene chemical storage tanks provide a practical material option for industrial applications where chemical compatibility or operating temperature may make standard polyethylene unsuitable.
Available in rotationally molded and custom-fabricated configurations, our polypropylene tanks can be engineered around the chemical, concentration, temperature, capacity and fitting requirements of your process.
Polypropylene Tank Engineering Information
- Current resin: PSD ROTOWORX RMPP141 NATURAL polypropylene.
- Construction options: rotationally molded and custom-fabricated configurations.
- Design inputs: chemical, concentration, operating temperature, specific gravity, capacity, fitting layout, venting and agitation.
- Service: atmospheric storage and process applications unless a different condition is specifically engineered.
- Quality control: manufactured in Texas and water-tested before shipment.
Why Engineers Specify Polypropylene
Polypropylene can provide greater temperature capability and stiffness at elevated temperature than standard HDPE for compatible chemicals. Depending on the resin, tank design and stored chemical, polypropylene may be evaluated for service approaching 200°F. The final allowable temperature and material recommendation must be confirmed for the chemical concentration and operating conditions.
Common applications include compatible acids and alkalis, caustic solutions, heated process liquids, water-treatment systems, chemical blending, rinse tanks and custom industrial vessels. Strong oxidizers and concentrated acids require application-specific review and may call for PVDF/Kynar or another material.
