PVDF Tank Temperature at 210°F (98.9°C)

PVDF is selected for some elevated-temperature chemical applications, and BEI PVDF product information references service up to 300°F (148.9°C) for many applications. At 210°F (98.9°C), the exact tank, resin grade, fluid, and operating duty still need review.

What 210°F (98.9°C) means for PVDF

At 210°F, evaluate continuous liquid temperature, not just the polymer’s heat capability. Confirm dimensions, fill height, material grade, and fittings. Higher temperatures can change the strength and long-term behavior of thermoplastics. The tank’s 1.9 specific-gravity rating should not be assumed at elevated temperature unless it is confirmed for that model.

What to confirm before specifying a tank

Send BEI the chemical and concentration, continuous and peak liquid temperature, required capacity and fill level, specific gravity, operating cycles, fittings and piping loads, and installation conditions. Chemical compatibility must be checked at the actual temperature. A short-lived temperature excursion and continuous storage at the same temperature are different design cases.

Manufacturer references distinguish material properties from a finished structure’s rating. Review the Kynar® PVDF information together with the tank’s engineering.

Use this page as a screening guide, not a final compatibility or engineering approval. Review BEI PVDF tanks or request an application review.
